How do I clean my couch?

I have a light tan suede or possibly a fake suede couch...unsure which, but anyways...how do I clean it? It's just a couple of months old but its showing some signs of being dirty, and some small stains....either fake or real....please help me with any info on how to get it clean right and safely. Thanks!!
