How can I reduce my chances of getting toxoplasmosis from my kitten?
I've owned cats all my life, but for some reason my doctor says I have no antibodies for the disease so I should be extra careful. I'm 29 weeks pregnant and my husband (being the sweet, but clueless man that he is) bought me a kitten. He knows I love cats and he figured it would help me keep my mind off being pregnant and enjoy the 11 weeks I have left without losing my mind in anticipation...it's really working too because I love this cat. Besides staying away from the litter box (my husband has been designated with that chore until I give birth) is there anything else I can do to reduce the risk that she pes toxoplasmosis to me and my baby?
